Hugo Bonemer

Hugo Angeli Bonemer is a Brazilian actor, voice artist, television presenter, and musician. He is widely recognized for his work in major musical theater productions, high-profile television series, and dubbing prominent film roles for international releases in Brazil.

Born on June 25, 1987, Bonemer belongs to a family with ties to Brazilian media. He is a second cousin of the well-known television news anchor William Bonner, as his late father, Christian de Toledo Bonemer, was Bonner's first cousin.

Bonemer established himself as a prominent figure in musical theater by landing lead roles in major productions. He starred as the lead in the Brazilian adaptation of the Broadway musical Hair. Additionally, he portrayed the iconic racing driver Ayrton Senna in his biographical stage show and performed in production runs of Rock in Rio - The Musical across both Brazil and Portugal.

In television, Bonemer has appeared in several original series for HBO. His credits include roles in two seasons of A Vida Secreta dos Casais, the single season of Preamar, and the third season of O Negócio. On the big screen, his film appearances include roles in Confissões de Adolescente and Minha Fama de Mau.

As a voice actor, Bonemer began providing the Portuguese voice dubbing for the character Branch in DreamWorks' Trolls franchise in 2014, a role originally voiced in English by Justin Timberlake. He also provided the localized voice over for Freddie Mercury in the feature film Bohemian Rhapsody, dubbing over Rami Malek's performance.

Bonemer's work on stage has earned him critical industry recognition. He won the Botequim Cultural award in 2018 for his role in Yank! The Musical. He also received nominations for the Cesgranrio award, first in 2016 for his work in Ordinary Days and again in 2017 for his performance in Ayrton Senna - The Musical.

Since 2018, Bonemer has expanded his career into television hosting on Canal Like, broadcast via Claro Video. In this position, he interviews filmmakers and offers film and television recommendations to viewers. In March 2018, he publicly shared that he was dating fellow actor Conrado Helt, who co-starred with him in Yank! The Musical, though the couple later ended their relationship in 2019.
