Camila Márdila is a Brazilian actress and director born on February 21, 1988, in Taguatinga, Distrito Federal, Brazil. She rose to international prominence for her breakthrough role in the award-winning feature film The Second Mother (Que Horas Ela Volta?) and has since built a versatile career across Brazilian cinema, television, and theater.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Raised in Taguatinga, Márdila developed a passion for acting during her childhood as a way to overcome shyness. She pursued higher education at the University of Brasília (UnB), graduating with a degree in Social Communication. While completing her degree, she gained practical industry experience working behind the scenes in film production, art direction, and casting preparation. Concurrently, she remained dedicated to theater, performing with local theatrical collectives before relocating to Rio de Janeiro to pursue full-time acting opportunities.

Breakthrough and Cinema Success

Márdila achieved widespread acclaim in 2015 for her performance as Jéssica in Anna Muylaert's film The Second Mother.
