Amber Rose

Amber Rose Levonchuck, born on October 21, 1983, is an American model and television personality. She first gained public attention after appearing in high-profile hip hop music videos and subsequently established a career spanning modeling, television hosting, authoring books, and business ventures. Throughout her career, she has been a prominent public figure involved in entertainment and social advocacy.

Rose was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Dorothy Rose and Michael Levonchuck. She grew up in South Philadelphia alongside her brother, Antonio Hewlett. Her father is of Irish and Italian heritage, while her mother is of Cape Verdean descent. Following her mother's separation from her stepfather, Rose began working as a stripper at the age of fifteen under the pseudonym "Paris" to help support her family financially.

Her career breakthrough occurred in 2008 after she starred in the music video for Young Jeezy's single "Put On," featuring Kanye West. The appearance led to a romantic relationship with West and opportunities in fashion, including modeling for a Louis Vuitton print advertisement featuring West's sneaker line. She walked the runway at New York Fashion Week for Celestino and made guest appearances in music videos for artists such as Ludacris, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, and Fabolous. Between 2009 and 2010, she was signed to the modeling agency Ford Models.

Rose expanded her presence in television and media over the following years. She appeared in the reality series Running Russell Simmons, served as a guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race and Master of the Mix, and became a spokesperson for Smirnoff in 2011. In 2012, she released her debut single "Fame" featuring Wiz Khalifa, followed by the single "Loaded." Her business projects included launching an eyewear line, co-founding the clothing brand Rose & Ono, acting in the film School Dance, and releasing the emoji application MuvaMoji in 2016. She also published a book titled How to Be a Bad Bitch with Simon & Schuster.

In 2015, Rose founded the Los Angeles chapter of the SlutWalk protest march, an annual feminist demonstration created to support women judged for their sexual behavior. She competed on the twenty-third season of Dancing with the Stars in 2016, placing ninth. That same year, she hosted her own television talk show, The Amber Rose Show, on VH1, and began co-hosting the syndicated radio call-in program Loveline.

Rose has two children: a son with her former husband, rapper Wiz Khalifa, whom she married in 2013 and divorced in 2014, and a second son born in 2019 with record executive Alexander "A.E." Edwards. In 2020, she began selling pictures on the creator platform OnlyFans. In political matters, Rose initially expressed opposition to Donald Trump in 2016, but later announced her endorsement of his 2024 presidential campaign, delivering a speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
