Duran was born on January 27, 1993, and was raised in Paris, France. During her youth, she pursued her education in the city at the international school Ecole Bilingue Manuel.

Her acting career began with her debut role in Michael Haneke's acclaimed drama The White Ribbon. Following this initial success, she expanded her filmography across several genres. She appeared alongside Mads Mikkelsen in the medieval drama Michael Kohlhaas and played a role in the French comedy La famille Bélier, a project that served as the original inspiration for the Academy Award-nominated movie CODA.

Duran's work in cinema also includes roles in the horror feature Eight For Silver, directed by Sean Ellis, and the period comedy-drama Mrs Harris Goes to Paris, where she appeared alongside Isabelle Huppert and Lesley Manville. In 2024, she participated in the film feature The Flood, directed by Gianluca Jodice.

In television, Duran secured a prominent role in the Sky Atlantic drama Riviera, created by Neil Jordan, portraying the character Adriana Clios across two seasons. She was also cast in the second season of AMC's Gothic horror adaptation Interview with the Vampire, developed by showrunner Rolin B. Jones.

In addition to her screen credits, Duran has established a presence on stage. She made her theatrical debut in 2012 taking on the lead role in Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt's play Le journal d'Anne Frank. She subsequently returned to the stage in 2014 for the French adaptation of Beau Willimon's Farragut North, and later performed in a 2019 Pierre de Marivaux production alongside actors Sylvie Testud and Éric Elmosnino.
