Lali Espósito

Mariana "Lali" Espósito is an Argentine singer, actress, dancer, and model born on October 10, 1991, in Buenos Aires. She rose to prominent fame across Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East through her television roles and her membership in the pop group Teen Angels. She has since established a successful solo music career alongside work in theater, film, and television.

Raised in Parque Patricios and Banfield, Espósito made her first screen appearance in 1998 on the program Caramelito y Vos. She began her acting career in 2003 when she was cast in the children's series Rincón de Luz. She built her early profile with supporting roles in major youth telenovelas such as Floricienta and Chiquititas Sin Fin, participating in their soundtrack albums and theatrical adaptations.

Her breakthrough came in 2007 when she starred as Marianella "Mar" Rinaldi in the series Casi Ángeles. Running through 2010, the show became an international hit and spawned the pop group Teen Angels, in which Espósito was a core member. The group released six studio albums, toured internationally across Latin America and Europe, and earned multiple music certifications before disbanding in 2012.

Adopting the stage name Lali, Espósito launched her solo music career in 2013 with the single A Bailar. Her 2014 debut album of the same title and her 2016 follow-up, Soy, both achieved gold status in Argentina. She continued her pop career with her third album, Brava, in 2018, and her fourth album, Libra, in 2020. In addition to headlining her own concert tours, she has opened for acts like Ricky Martin and Katy Perry.

Espósito has also sustained an active acting career. She earned critical acclaim for playing Abigail Williams in a Buenos Aires production of The Crucible and went on to star in feature films including A los 40, That's Not Cheating, and The Accused. On television, she took main roles in Solamente vos, Esperanza mía, and the Netflix crime drama Sky Rojo.

Throughout her career, Espósito has won numerous accolades, including multiple Gardel Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, Argentina Kids' Choice Awards, and MTV Millennial Awards, as well as a Billboard Latin Music Award. She became the first Argentine artist to enter the Billboard Social 50 and Artist 100 charts, and was named one of Argentina's ten most influential women by Infobae in 2015.
