Hunter Doohan

Hunter Doohan is an American actor and film producer born on January 18, 1994. He has earned widespread recognition for his performances in prominent television productions, including the series Wednesday and Daredevil: Born Again.

Raised primarily in Fort Smith, Arkansas, after spending his early youth across the American South, Doohan is the son of former Australian tennis player Peter Doohan and Angie Harper Carmichael. His passion for performance developed through participation in high school and local community theater. Following high school, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he interned at Elizabeth Barnes Casting. To support himself while taking acting classes and attending auditions, he worked several jobs, including background extra work, waiting tables, and conducting tours at Universal Studios.

Doohan achieved his professional breakthrough in 2019 on the Apple TV+ series Truth Be Told, portraying the younger counterpart of Aaron Paul's character, Warren Cave. In 2020, he secured a principal role in the Showtime legal drama series Your Honor. He played Adam Desiato, a young man who becomes embroiled in a crisis following his involvement in a hit-and-run incident, acting alongside Bryan Cranston.

In 2022, Doohan joined the main cast of the Netflix fantasy series Wednesday, a reboot based on The Addams Family, playing the character Tyler Galpin. Appearing alongside an ensemble cast that includes Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Christina Ricci, and Gwendoline Christie, Doohan gained significant public visibility. The debut season achieved massive viewership, setting high streaming records according to Nielsen Media Research with 6 billion minutes watched in its opening week, becoming the platform's most-watched English-language series. The show continued past its second season with a third season renewal featuring Doohan's return.

Doohan expanded his television and film work in 2025 by portraying the serial killer character Bastian Cooper, also known as Muse, in the first season of Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again. That same year, he featured in the American feature film drama The Wilderness, which premiered in October 2025. He was also cast in the supernatural horror movie Evil Dead Burn, planned as the sixth entry in the Evil Dead film franchise and scheduled for release in July 2026.

In his personal life, Doohan began a relationship with producer Fielder Jewett in 2015. The couple married in June 2022, with the ceremony presided over by his former co-star Bryan Cranston. Open about his sexuality since age 18, Doohan has noted actor Jonathan Bailey as an influential figure who inspired him to maintain professional transparency regarding his identity.
