Gölä

Gölä, whose real name is Marco Pfeuti, is a popular Swiss rock musician. Born on June 7, 1968, in Oberdiessbach, Switzerland, he is best known for performing music mainly in Bernese German, though he has also released works in English.

Pfeuti grew up in Oppligen, a municipality located near Thun. He later adopted the stage name Gölä for his musical career.

Gölä launched his music career as the frontman of an eponymous band. The group achieved massive commercial success in Switzerland with their debut album, *Uf u dervo*, which was released in 1998. The title translates to "up and leave."

Following their debut, Gölä and his band produced four additional albums. Over the course of their time together, the group sold over half a million compact discs and performed to sold-out concert halls across the region. The original band remained active until its disbandment in 2002.

In 2004, the band was relaunched under the name Burn. This new project focused on English-language songs, though it experienced less commercial success compared to the musician's earlier Bernese German releases.

Throughout his career, Gölä achieved significant commercial recognition. His debut album, *Uf u dervo*, sold 250,000 copies and earned quintuple platinum status, establishing it as one of the most successful Swiss German music albums in Switzerland.
