Gaeul

Kim Ga-eul, known professionally by the mononym Gaeul, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and dancer. Born on September 24, 2002, in Incheon, South Korea, she achieved international prominence as a member of the South Korean girl group IVE under Starship Entertainment. She is recognized for her primary performance roles within the group as a dancer and rapper.

Raised in Incheon, Gaeul developed a passion for performing at an early age and participated in local dance competitions during her school years. In April 2017, she was scouted by a representative from Starship Entertainment after competing in a regional youth dance contest. Following her selection, she spent more than four years as a trainee preparing for her musical debut.

In November 2021, Starship Entertainment introduced Gaeul as the second member of IVE. The group officially debuted on December 1, 2021, with the single album Eleven, led by the track of the same name. Following their debut, IVE established a prominent position in the K-pop industry with major commercial releases, including the hit singles Love Dive and After Like, as well as full-length albums such as I've IVE.

Throughout her career, Gaeul has contributed to IVE's live stage choreography, sound, and group activities. In addition to music releases, she has taken part in broadcast appearances, brand promotional campaigns, and global concert tours alongside her bandmates. She continues her musical career as an active member of IVE.
