Choi Soo-bin

Choi Soo-bin, known mononymously as Soobin, is a South Korean singer and songwriter born on December 5, 2000. He is widely recognized as the leader of the South Korean boy band Tomorrow X Together, which was formed by Big Hit Entertainment in 2019.

Soobin was born in the Sangnok District of Ansan, South Korea, as the youngest of three children, having an older brother and an older sister. He briefly attended Ansan High School before leaving to concentrate on his preparation as an idol trainee. After successfully passing the High School Graduation Equivalency Examination, he enrolled at Global Cyber University in 2019.

Prior to his official debut, Soobin completed three years of training under Big Hit Entertainment and was revealed as the second member of Tomorrow X Together. He officially debuted with the group on March 4, 2019, through the release of their extended play, The Dream Chapter: Star. The release achieved immediate commercial success, reaching the top position on both the Gaon Album Chart and the Billboard World Albums Chart.

In addition to his group musical projects, Soobin expanded his career into television hosting. On July 20, 2020, he was announced as a new co-host for the music program Music Bank alongside Arin of Oh My Girl. Their on-screen chemistry earned them the Best Couple Award at the 2020 KBS Entertainment Awards. He also served as a backstage host for the KBS Song Festival in 2020 with Arin, and returned in the same role for the 2021 event alongside Arin, Jang Won-young, and Sunghoon of Enhypen.

Soobin continued to pursue host engagements across online and broadcast media. In November 2024, he began hosting the web variety show My Faves' Fave on the Pixid YouTube channel, where guests present their favorite items; the series was renewed for a second season in April 2025. On June 5, 2025, he was named a co-host for the 34th Seoul Music Awards alongside Kang Seung-yoon and Miyeon of I-dle. Later that year, he was cast as a co-host for the observational dating reality show Noona Is a Woman to Me, which premiered on KBS2 on October 27.

Beyond broadcasting, Soobin has participated in commercial brand endorsements and philanthropic work. In August 2025, he was named a youth ambassador for the cosmetics brand Into You, and on October 1, 2025, he became a brand ambassador for the South Korean fashion label Covernat. As part of Tomorrow X Together, he has also represented global luxury brands such as Dior. In philanthropic activities, it was reported on January 29, 2024, that Soobin donated ₩100 million (US$74,760) to the Seoul Metropolitan Children's Hospital, allocating ₩20 million for medical treatment for severely ill children and ₩80 million toward improving hospital facilities and environment.

On November 19, 2024, Big Hit Music announced that Soobin would temporarily suspend his official activities due to health concerns, explaining that he was experiencing extreme fatigue and had been advised by medical professionals to take time off for rest and recovery.
