Anupama Parameswaran

Anupama Parameswaran is an Indian actress who primarily works in Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil films. She has also appeared in Kannada cinema. She gained widespread recognition following her acting debut in the commercially successful Malayalam film Premam in 2015.

Anupama was born on 18 February 1996 to Parameswaran Erekkath and Sunitha in a Malayali family at Irinjalakuda in the Thrissur district of Kerala. She has a younger brother named Akshay. She completed her schooling at the Don Bosco School in Irinjalakuda and went on to study Communicative English at CMS College Kottayam, which she later discontinued to pursue a career in acting.

After debut performance in Premam alongside Nivin Pauly, she made a cameo appearance in the Malayalam film James & Alice. She then expanded into Telugu cinema with films such as A Aa alongside Nithiin and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, followed by the Telugu remake of Premam. In 2016, she made her Tamil film debut with a lead role opposite Dhanush in Kodi.

In January 2017, Anupama appeared in the Telugu film Shatamanam Bhavati alongside Sharwanand and the Malayalam film Jomonte Suvisheshangal alongside Dulquer Salmaan. Her subsequent filmography includes Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi and Hello Guru Prema Kosame opposite Ram Pothineni, Krishnarjuna Yudham opposite Nani, and Tej I Love You opposite Sai Dharam Tej. In 2019, she entered Kannada cinema with Natasaarvabhowma alongside Puneeth Rajkumar, and featured in the Telugu film Rakshasudu.

Her later projects include the Tamil film Thalli Pogathey opposite Atharvaa, and the Telugu films Rowdy Boys opposite Ashish and Karthikeya 2, which served as a sequel to the 2014 film Karthikeya. In 2024, she starred alongside Siddhu Jonnalagadda in Tillu Square, the sequel to Tillu. She subsequently played the lead role of Subbu in the Telugu comedy drama Paradha directed by Praveen Kandregula, and appeared in the Tamil film Lockdown, released in late January 2026.

Beyond her film roles, Anupama featured in the Hyderabad Times 30 Most Desirable Woman list, ranking 30th in 2018, 21st in 2019, and 27th in 2020. In 2021, she was named the 10th most tweeted-about South Indian actress.
