Veronica Webb

Veronica Webb is an American model, writer, and television personality. Born in Detroit, she rose to prominence in the late 1980s and 1990s as a high-profile fashion model before expanding her career into journalism, film, and television.

Throughout her modeling career, Webb appeared on the covers of major fashion magazines, including Vogue, Essence, and Elle. She walked the runway for prominent fashion designers such as Gianni Versace, Azzedine Alaïa, Isaac Mizrahi, Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel, and Todd Oldham. In 1995, she also modeled in the first annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Webb achieved a significant industry milestone in 1992 when she signed an exclusive cosmetics contract with Revlon. This agreement made her the first Black model to secure an exclusive contract with a major cosmetics company.

In addition to fashion, Webb built a career in screen media and writing. She appeared in the 1989 music video for New Order's song "Round and Round" from the album Technique. She made her feature film debut in 1991 in Spike Lee's film Jungle Fever. On television, she took on roles in series such as Becker and Just Shoot Me!, and served as the co-host for the first season of Bravo's reality television series Tim Gunn's Guide to Style.

As a writer, Webb has contributed essays and columns to numerous major publications. Her written work has appeared in Interview, Paper Magazine, Details, Elle, The Sunday Times, The New York Times, The New York Times Syndicate, Condé Nast's Cookie magazine, and Esquire.

In her personal life, Webb married George Robb in 2002, and the couple had two daughters before divorcing in 2009. She later married Chris Del Gatto.
