Ruggero Pasquarelli

Ruggero Pasquarelli, known professionally by the mononym RUGGERO, is an Italian singer and actor. He first gained national attention as a contestant on the Italian talent show X Factor before establishing an international acting and music career. He is widely recognized for his main roles in Latin American television series, including the Argentine telenovelas Violetta and Soy Luna.

Pasquarelli was born on September 10, 1993, in Abruzzo, Italy, to parents Bruno and Antonella Pasquarelli. He grew up in the town of Città Sant'Angelo in the province of Pescara alongside his brother, Leonardo. During his youth, he took lessons in acting and guitar, later beginning vocal training in 2008 and piano studies in 2009. While attending a pedagogical high school with a specialization in Arts and Entertainment, he served as the lead singer for a local rock band named 65013.

In 2010, during his final year of high school, Pasquarelli auditioned for the fourth season of the Italian edition of X Factor. Selected by judge Mara Maionchi for the "Boys" category, he advanced through the competition's live broadcasts. Because Italian regulations prohibit minors from performing past midnight, his appearance during the tenth live show's final showdown was presented via a pre-recorded performance. After a deadlocked panel vote and a public voting decision, Pasquarelli concluded the competition in sixth place.

Following his television debut, Pasquarelli moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2012, where he has resided and worked ever since. That year, he was cast as Federico in the Argentine telenovela Violetta, appearing from the first season through the series finale in season three and taking part in the show's European tour. In 2015, he landed the primary male role of Matteo Balsano in the Disney Channel Latin America series Soy Luna. He performed in all three seasons comprising 220 episodes from 2016 to 2018, participated in three live concert tours across Latin America and Europe, and contributed original self-written tracks such as "Allá voy" and "Esta noche no paro" to the program's official soundtracks.

Pasquarelli launched his solo recording career in June 2019 with the release of his debut single "Probablemente," followed by "No Te Voy a Fallar" and a concert tour named Nuestro Tour across South America. He also collaborated with the South American musical duo MYA on the single "Apenas Son Las 12." In March 2020, Pasquarelli signed a contract with Sony Music Argentina. Throughout the remainder of 2020, he released several standalone singles, including "Puede," "Bella," "Por Eso Estoy Aquì" featuring Tres Dedos, "Dos Extraños," and "Mil Razones."

In April 2021, Pasquarelli released his self-titled debut studio album, Ruggero, which was preceded by the singles "Úsame" featuring Dvicio and "Si Tú No Estás." Later that year, he issued a cover of "Senza una Donna" as a single. On June 7, 2022, Pasquarelli released his second studio album, Volver a Cero, which was promoted by the preceding singles "Se Vive Solo una Vida," "Ya Fue," and "Nos Dejamos Enseguida" featuring Fabro.
