Rina Koike

Rina Koike is a Japanese actress and gravure idol born on September 3, 1993, in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Professionally affiliated with the talent management agency Twin Planet, she first entered the entertainment industry in the early 2000s as a junior idol before transitioning into a career in television and video productions.

Her path into the industry began around the age of nine when she was scouted at a coffee shop inside an Isetan department store during a family trip to Tokyo, following an unsuccessful audition for Hello! Project Kids. She launched her early modeling career while in the fourth grade, releasing her debut video release, titled Big Brother, at age ten.

Koike transitioned into television acting in 2004 when she secured her first drama role portraying Sailor Luna in the live-action television adaptation Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. A few years later, she gained further recognition within the tokusatsu genre by taking on the role of Shizuka Nomura in the 2008 television series Kamen Rider Kiva.

In early 2011, Koike starred in the short television drama series Onegai Kanaete Versailles, appearing alongside the Japanese visual kei metal group Versailles. Throughout this period, she balanced her acting engagements with her academic pursuits.

After completing her higher education and graduating from Asia University in 2016, Koike temporarily paused her activities in the entertainment business for two years. During this hiatus, she traveled abroad to study the English language in both New Zealand and Australia.
