About Riley Davies
Riley Jason Davies, known professionally by the stage name ArrDee, is an English rapper born on September 17, 2002. Raised in the seaside city of Brighton, he pursued his education locally at Hove Park School in Hove, East Sussex. He first earned international attention after performing on a remix of the song Body by Russ Millions and Tion Wayne, a single that reached the top of the music charts in numerous countries, including the United Kingdom.
Following his initial chart exposure, Davies launched his solo career with the release of the single Oliver Twist, named after the Charles Dickens novel, which rose to the sixth spot on the UK Singles Chart. In late 2021, he released Flowers (Say My Name), a track incorporating samples from recordings by Sweet Female Attitude and Destiny's Child. The song attained a peak position of number five on the official national chart, remaining in the top ten for seven weeks and spending extended periods in the broader top forty and top one hundred rankings.
In early 2022, Davies collaborated with rapper Aitch on the track War and launched Come & Go, which sampled music by Ironik and Westlife. These tracks preceded his debut mixtape, Pier Pressure, released in March 2022. Despite earning mixed reviews from critics, the project debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and secured the top spot on the national streaming chart. Later that year, he released the single Hello Mate, which incorporated a sample from a track by Kyla.
Davies expanded his musical and commercial activities throughout 2023. He released the single Loser alongside Home for My Heart, a collaboration with singer Cat Burns featuring songwriting contributions from Kwame Kwei-Armah and a music video directed by Najeeb Tarazi. That same year, he featured on Chase & Status's single Liquor & Cigarettes, made his feature film acting debut in Tate: Ten Days of Blood—the sixth entry in the Rise of the Footsoldier franchise—and partnered with the retail brand boohooMAN to release a clothing collection named ArrDee Certified.
Continuing his output over subsequent years, Davies issued tracks including Time featuring French artist Favé and Different with The Shapeshifters in 2024. By 2025, he was operating as an independent musician after parting ways with his record label, releasing singles such as Cross the Line and Need Somebody alongside A!MS. In 2026, he put out several singles, including Yo Yo Yo, Braindead—which sampled music by Justin Timberlake—and I Ain't Complaining, prior to launching his EP titled Lead by Exsample in June 2026.
Davies has earned gold and platinum certifications for his music from both the British Phonographic Industry and Recorded Music NZ. Outside of music, advertisements for his alcohol brand, Litty Liquor, were banned in May 2023 due to regulations concerning his age and the promotion of irresponsible consumption. In his personal life, he is a supporter of Chelsea Football Club and became a father to a daughter in April 2026.
