Gloria Woods

Gloria Hallelujah Woods, known professionally as GloRilla, is an American rapper and singer from Memphis, Tennessee. She gained national prominence with her viral 2022 hit single "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" alongside producer Hitkidd. Known for her distinctively deep, crunk-influenced delivery and energetic anthems, she has rapidly become one of the most visible women in modern Southern hip-hop.

About

Born on July 28, 1999, in the Frayser neighborhood of Memphis, Woods was raised in a large, deeply religious family as the eighth of ten children. She spent part of her early upbringing being homeschooled before attending Martin Luther King Jr. College Preparatory High School. Growing up singing in church choirs, she was initially restricted to gospel music by her mother. Although she initially aspired to pursue a vocal singing career, losing her voice during her teenage years prompted her to shift her creative focus toward rap music and songwriting.

Career

Woods began releasing music independently in 2018, issuing her debut mixtape, Most Likely Up Next, in 2019, followed by her EP P Status in 2020. Her major mainstream breakthrough arrived in April 2022 with "F.N.F. (Let's Go)," which generated widespread viral engagement on social media platforms, entered the Billboard Hot 100, and earned a nomination for Best Rap Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. The success of the single led her to sign with Collective Music Group, founded by fellow Memphis rapper Yo Gotti, in partnership with Interscope Records. She followed up with "Tomorrow 2" featuring Cardi B, which reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, and released her debut EP Anyways, Life's Great in November 2022. She continued her chart momentum with successful singles including "Yeah Glo!," "Wanna Be" featuring Megan Thee Stallion, and her debut studio album Glorious.
