Raashi Khanna

Raashii Khanna is an Indian actress and singer who works predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema. She began her career in commercial advertising before making her feature film debut in the 2013 Hindi political spy thriller Madras Cafe. She subsequently established a prominent screen presence in South Indian cinema, earning recognition for her Telugu debut in Oohalu Gusagusalade, which won her the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu.

Khanna was born on 30 November 1990 and raised in Delhi. She completed her schooling at St. Mark's Senior Secondary Public School in Delhi and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with honours in English from Lady Shri Ram College. An academic topper during her student years, she initially aspired to become a singer and later aimed to become an IAS officer. Prior to acting in feature films, she worked in ad copywriting and appeared in various advertisements.

After portraying Ruby Singh in Madras Cafe and taking on a small role in the Telugu film Manam, Khanna achieved her breakthrough playing Prabhavati in Oohalu Gusagusalade in 2014. Following her debut success, she featured in Telugu projects such as Joru, Jil, Shivam, and the commercially successful 2015 action film Bengal Tiger. She expanded her filmography with roles in Supreme, Hyper, and the box-office success Jai Lava Kusa.

Khanna expanded into other language industries by making her Malayalam debut in the 2017 thriller Villain. In 2018, she made her Tamil cinema debut in the multi-starrer thriller Imaikkaa Nodigal and starred in the successful Tamil film Adanga Maru. Her work during this period also featured well-received roles in Telugu films including Tholi Prema, Srinivasa Kalyanam, Venky Mama, and Prati Roju Pandage.

In subsequent years, Khanna appeared in regional releases including Ayogya, Sangathamizhan, World Famous Lover, Tughlaq Durbar, Bhramam, and Aranmanai 3. She made her digital streaming debut in 2022 with the Hindi crime series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness. That same year, she starred in Pakka Commercial and Thank You, as well as the commercially successful films Thiruchitrambalam and Sardar.

Khanna gained further global streaming recognition in 2023 for her role as RBI officer Megha Vyas in the series Farzi. She returned to Hindi cinema with Yodha, followed by roles in Aranmanai 4, The Sabarmati Report, Aghathiyaa, 120 Bahadur, and the web series Lukkhe. She has also made cameo appearances in the television series Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya, and has performed as a playback singer in multiple languages.

Beyond her film career, Khanna established the #BeTheMiracle initiative to provide meals to those in need and launched the Roti Bank foundation during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2026, she became a brand ambassador for Challani Jewellery. Recognized in public media, she placed on Forbes India's 2021 list of most influential South cinema stars on Instagram, topped IMDb's weekly celebrity list in February 2023, and appeared regularly on regional desirability rankings.
