Puff Kuo

Puff Kuo is a Taiwanese actress, singer, and model. She first gained wide public recognition as a performer in the Taiwanese pop music industry and through her television roles, serving as the youngest member of the girl group Dream Girls prior to the group's eventual disbandment.

Kuo was born on June 30, 1988, in Gongliao Township, Taipei County, Taiwan. Following her mother's death from breast cancer when Kuo was nine years old, she and her younger sister were raised separately by different relatives. Kuo spent her childhood under the care of her paternal relatives while her father worked in China, leading to a period of estrangement from her sister until Kuo entered the entertainment business and achieved financial stability.

Her career began in 2008 after being scouted by talent agents, leading to her initial work as a commercial model, including an early appearance in a McDonald's advertisement in Taiwan. She subsequently signed with Dorian Entertainment, undergoing training alongside future bandmates Tia Lee and Emily Song while appearing in music videos and prominent variety programs such as Guess, 100% Entertainment, and Kangxi Lai Le.

Kuo made her official musical debut when Dream Girls signed with Linfair Records in March 2011, releasing their first self-titled EP shortly after. That same year, she launched her acting career in the television series Inborn Pair, playing a supporting role in the hit drama. She followed this with her film debut in Silent Code in 2012, as well as a role in the series Miss Rose and the release of Dream Girls' second EP, Girl's Talk.

In 2013, Kuo secured her first television lead role opposite Aaron Yan in the series Just You, which earned the pair the Best Screen Couple Award at the 2013 Sanlih Drama Awards. Dream Girls also launched their debut studio album late that year. Kuo's international profile expanded significantly in early 2014 when she appeared alongside Super Junior's Kim Heechul on the second season of We Got Married Global Edition, leading to boosted popularity in South Korea.

Later in 2014, Kuo starred in the romantic series Pleasantly Surprised alongside Jasper Liu. The pair's onscreen partnership earned them the Best Kiss award at the 2014 Sanlih Drama Awards, where Kuo was also honored with the China Wave Award. Following the show, Dream Girls performed at the 2014 Asia Song Festival in Busan, South Korea, where Kuo served as a guest emcee, before she took a brief hiatus from acting to focus on group projects.
