Odessa A’zion

Odessa Zion Segall Adlon, known professionally as Odessa A'zion, is an American actress born on June 17, 2000. She is known for television roles in the CBS sitcom Fam, the Netflix drama Grand Army, and the HBO series I Love LA. Her film credits include Hellraiser, The Inhabitant, Sitting in Bars with Cake, Fresh Kills, Until Dawn, and Marty Supreme, for which she received multiple award nominations.

A'zion was born in Sacramento, California, grew up in Los Angeles, and spent portions of her childhood in Boston, Massachusetts, and Neufahrn, Germany. She is the daughter of actress Pamela Adlon and German director Felix Adlon, and the sister of Gideon Adlon. Her grandfathers were German filmmaker Percy Adlon and American writer-producer Don Segall. Her maternal grandmother was an English-born convert to Judaism, and her maternal grandfather was Jewish. She is also related to German hotelier Lorenz Adlon. A'zion attended the Charter High School of the Arts.

Initially credited as Odessa Adlon, her first notable role was playing Liv in season five of Nashville in 2017. Her early film work included Ladyworld in 2018 and the 2020 horror film Let's Scare Julie, along with an appearance in two episodes of Wayne. In 2019, A'zion landed her first main television role as Shannon on the CBS sitcom Fam. She followed this by starring as Joey Del Marco in the 2020 Netflix series Grand Army, earning critical acclaim alongside co-star Odley Jean.

A'zion subsequently appeared in the 2021 independent comedy Mark, Mary & Some Other People. In 2022, she starred in the Hellraiser reboot and The Inhabitant, and played supporting roles in Am I Ok? and Good Girl Jane. She was cast in Jennifer Esposito's film Fresh Kills, released in 2024, and starred opposite Yara Shahidi in the 2023 film Sitting in Bars with Cake.

Her subsequent projects include playing Nina Riley in the 2025 film Until Dawn, appearing in the crime thriller She Rides Shotgun, and starring in Rachel Sennott's HBO series I Love LA. A'zion was cast in Josh Safdie's 2025 feature Marty Supreme alongside Timothée Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Tyler, the Creator. Her performance in Marty Supreme earned her nominations for an Actor Award, an Astra Film Award, and a British Academy Film Award.

In January 2026, A'zion was cast as Zoe Gutierrez in Sean Durkin's film adaptation of Deep Cuts. Following public backlash regarding the ethnicity of the character as written in the book, she stated she was unaware of the detail and withdrew from the project.
