Nanase Nishino

Nanase Nishino is a Japanese actress, television host, model, and former first-generation member of the idol girl group Nogizaka46. She is recognized for her musical career with the group as well as her transition into acting and hosting. Her major screen work includes lead roles as Asahi Tōjima in the film adaptation of Asahinagu and Ai Amano in Denei Shojo: Video Girl Ai 2018. She has also served as a co-host on the Fuji TV variety show Lion no Goo Touch.

Nishino was born on May 25, 1994, in Hirano-ku, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture. She has an older brother, Taisei Nishino, who is a model and actor. In 2011, she auditioned for Nogizaka46 and was chosen as one of the 36 first-generation members. She performed on the group's debut single, Guruguru Curtain, released on February 22, 2012. On November 8, 2012, she made her runway modeling debut at GirlsAward 2012 Autumn/Winter alongside fellow group member Mai Shiraishi.

Nishino achieved a prominent role within the group on April 2, 2014, when she was selected as the choreographic center for Nogizaka46's eighth single, Kizuitara Kataomoi. Her initial solo song, Hitoriyogari, was featured on the group's debut album Tōmei na Iro in January 2015. On February 18, 2015, she became the second member of Nogizaka46 to publish a photo book, titled Fudangi. The book sold 36,000 copies in its first week and reached the top position on the Oricon weekly sales chart in the photobook category. She returned to the center position for the 11th single, Inochi wa Utsukushii, in March 2015, which included her second solo song, Gomenne Zutto..., as a B-side.

In June 2015, Nishino joined the fashion magazine non-no as an exclusive model. The following month, she starred in the lead role of the television softball drama Hatsumori Bemars. On August 30, 2015, she and Shiraishi were selected as Nogizaka46's first double center for the single Ima, Hanashitai Dareka ga Iru. On March 7, 2016, she was announced as a co-host for Lion no Goo Touch. Her second photobook, Kaze o Kigaete, was shot in Malta and Italy over five days and published on September 29, 2016, ranking first on the Oricon photobook chart for two consecutive weeks.

Nishino starred as Asahi Tōjima in the feature film adaptation of the naginata manga Asahinagu, released on September 22, 2017. On September 20, 2018, she announced her graduation from Nogizaka46 on the group's official blog. Her post-graduation acting roles included playing Yōko Matsuda in the 2019 TV Tokyo drama Bet on This Girl! and taking on a supporting role in the NTV series It's Your Turn later that year.

In her personal life, Nishino is friends with actress Marie Iitoyo and fellow former bandmate Kazumi Takayama. On March 31, 2024, Nishino announced her marriage to actor Yuki Yamada.
