Nana Eikura

Nana Eikura is a Japanese actress, model, and occasional radio show host affiliated with the Ken-On Group. She first gained attention during her middle-teenage years through her modeling work and later expanded her career into television advertisements and acting.

Eikura was born in Izumi, Kagoshima, and raised in Sagamihara, Kanagawa. While attending junior high school, she was scouted in front of the 109 department store in Shibuya, Tokyo. During the 2000s, she modeled for several fashion magazines, primarily appearing in Seventeen alongside Emi Suzuki and others.

In the mid-2000s, Eikura transitioned into acting and began appearing in various fashion collections and television advertisements. Over the course of her commercial work, she has been featured in campaigns for non-fashion and non-cosmetic brands such as Coca-Cola, the Japanese Red Cross, Japan Post Service, Johnson & Johnson's Japanese branch, KDDI's au, Lion, and Nintendo's video game Rhythm Heaven. She has also modeled for non-fashion publications, including the NASCAR-oriented magazine Racing On, and appeared in eight television commercials alongside Masami Nagasawa.

Eikura's acting portfolio includes roles across film and television. She appeared in Shinji Aoyama's 2011 film Tokyo Park and starred as Sakamaki Yuki in the winter 2012 drama serial Saikō no Jinsei no Owarikata: Ending Planner. In 2014, she co-starred in the TBS drama N no Tame ni. Later, she starred in the 2016 drama 99.9 ~ Keiji Senmon Bengoshi, which topped Japanese television drama ratings, with its final episode reaching 21.0 percent.

Outside of acting and modeling, Eikura holds a diploma, plays the shamisen, and can sing fluently in the Ryukyu language, which she learned from modeling colleagues from Okinawa. In 2007, she performed a cover of Rimi Natsukawa's song "Nada Sōsō" on a KinKi Kids television show. Additionally, after interviewing Mark Hunt on Tokai TV's The MMA Kingdom in 2006, she acquired the nickname "Samoan Eikura" due to her facial resemblance to Hunt and Samoa Joe.

In 2020, Eikura received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 45th Hochi Film Award for her performance in Threads: Our Tapestry of Love. In her personal life, she married actor Kento Kaku on August 7, 2016, after meeting on the set of N no Tame ni and dating since the summer of 2015. She gave birth to her first child on June 12, 2017, and has since had a second child.
