Lourdes Leon

Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, also known as Lola Leon, is an American fashion model, dancer, and singer. She was born on October 14, 1996, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, California. She is the oldest child of singer, songwriter, and actress Madonna and personal trainer and actor Carlos Leon. Her mother is of Italian and French-Canadian descent, while her father is of Afro-Cuban ancestry. Through her parents' subsequent marriages and adoptions, Leon has a paternal half-brother, a maternal half-brother, and four siblings born in Malawi.

Raised in New York City, Leon began taking ballet lessons at age three. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, a performing arts school in Manhattan, where she dated fellow student Timothée Chalamet. After graduating, she initially enrolled at the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus before transferring to Purchase College in New York to pursue an intensive dance program. Leon paid for her own college education to establish independence.

Leon's early public appearances included participating in her mother's 2003 MTV Video Music Awards performance, appearing in an alternative video for the 2009 song "Celebration," and contributing backing vocals to the 2012 track "Superstar." Her involvement in the fashion industry began in 2010 when she co-created the teenage clothing line Material Girl with Madonna for Macy's. She later made her modeling debut starring in an ad campaign for Stella McCartney's fragrance Pop alongside Grimes, Amandla Stenberg, and Kenya Kinski-Jones.

As a model, Leon made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week in 2018. Over the course of her modeling career, she has featured in advertising campaigns for brands such as Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, Burberry, Savage X Fenty, Gypsy Sport, Dion Lee, and Mugler. In September 2021, she appeared on the cover of American Vogue in an ensemble shoot with models including Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Anok Yai, and Precious Lee. In 2023, she became the face of a limited edition Coca-Cola 3000 Zero Sugar flavor and starred in a campaign for Make Up For Ever.

Performing under the stage name Lolahol, Leon launched her musical career in August 2022 through the Chemical X imprint of Mad Decent. She debuted with the single "Lock&Key," followed by "Cuntradiction" in November 2022. Both tracks were featured on her five-track experimental debut extended play, titled Go, created in collaboration with multi-instrumentalist and producer Eartheater. In September 2023, she gave her first major musical performance at the Brava Madrid Music Festival, and later released the single "Spelling," which paid visual homage to Madonna's 1998 video for "Frozen."

Leon has also collaborated on her mother's projects, co-writing and providing vocals for the track "The Test" on Madonna's 2026 album Confessions II, while also making a cameo appearance in its accompanying short film. In developing her own artistic work, Leon has cited late 1990s and early 2000s British musical acts, including PJ Harvey, Massive Attack, and Amy Winehouse, as key creative influences.
