Jessica Sierra

Jessica Ann Sierra (born November 11, 1985) is an American former singer best known as a contestant on the fourth season of American Idol. Before her time on the show, she competed on Star Search and previously auditioned for the second season of American Idol, where she was rejected. She successfully auditioned in Orlando for the fourth season, ultimately placing tenth after being eliminated on March 30, 2005, following her performance of LeAnn Rimes's "On the Side of Angels."

After her elimination, Sierra performed internationally at concerts and private events, including a private event in Kazakhstan. She sang at charity events such as the Special Olympics and corporate shows sponsored by brands like Kellogg's and Edy's Ice Cream. In July 2006, she traveled to Iraq and Kuwait to perform six shows for U.S. soldiers, including an Independence Day performance in Baghdad. During this period, she was also featured in OK! Magazine and appeared on the TV Guide Channel program Idol Tonight.

In late 2006, Sierra recorded the song "Unbroken" for a Toys "R" Us exclusive CD, which was subsequently released as an iTunes single in early 2007. Verge Management released her Deepest Secret EP in early 2008 across digital platforms and her official website, alongside a music video for "Unbroken." After departing Verge, she signed with Elite B Records in 2010 and released the single "Enough." Her debut album, Rebound, was repeatedly delayed and ultimately went unreleased.

Sierra has also been involved in public awareness initiatives following personal safety incidents. In January 2006, a man was arrested at her grandmother's home after leaving over 40 voice mail messages for her. Following the incident, Sierra partnered with the United States Department of Justice's National Stalking Resource Center as a spokesperson for a national awareness campaign. The event was later featured on the Investigation Discovery series Stalked: Someone's Watching.

In April 2007, Sierra was arrested in Tampa, Florida, on charges of assault and cocaine possession. Prior to her sentencing, she filmed the first season of the VH1 reality television series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew during the summer of 2007. Following a subsequent arrest in December 2007, she was sentenced in January 2008 to time served, a 12-month stay at the Pasadena Recovery Center, and three years of probation. A court-ordered media restriction was lifted in April 2009 after she maintained extended sobriety.

Following her recovery, Sierra returned to Celebrity Rehab during its third season as a panel speaker to share her experiences with new participants. As of 2011, Sierra resided in Vacaville, California, and is the mother of two sons, Kayden Cash and Sebastian Evans.
