Erin Wasson

Erin Elizabeth Wasson is an American fashion model, actress, fashion designer, and stylist. She was born on January 20, 1982, in Irving, Texas. Her career in modeling began after she won the Kim Dawson Model Search in Texas.

As a model, Wasson has appeared on the covers of numerous fashion magazines around the world, including the French, Russian, Spanish, and Australian editions of Vogue, as well as French Elle, Flair, Numero, Allure, and Esquire. Over the course of her modeling career, she has worked with notable photographers such as Steven Meisel, Nan Goldin, Mario Testino, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier, and Ellen Von Unwerth.

Wasson has walked the runway for a wide array of top fashion brands, including Chanel, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Miu Miu, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Versace, Dior, and Ralph Lauren. In 2007, she also walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Additionally, since 2002, she has served as the international face of major cosmetics brands Maybelline, Clinique, and Max Factor, appearing in both print advertisements and television commercials.

Her extensive advertising campaign work includes representations for brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Cartier, Rolex, Tiffany & Co., Levi's, H&M, Gap, and Zadig & Voltaire. In the fall of 2008, Wasson starred opposite Justin Timberlake in a multimedia campaign for his apparel brand, William Rast, playing his love interest, Birdie, in a series of short films directed by Jonas Akerlund. She was also featured in the 2011 Pirelli Calendar, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld.

Beyond modeling, Wasson has established a career in fashion and accessory design. In 2008, she designed a three-season apparel collaboration with the clothing company RVCA. She subsequently launched her own jewelry brand, Low Luv, which grew to be sold at more than 200 stores globally. Her later design work includes a fall 2011 capsule collection for French label Zadig&Voltaire and a four-piece boot collection designed for Lucchese in 2018.

In addition to fashion, Wasson has undertaken acting and screen roles. She appeared as the vampire Vadoma in the 2012 horror movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and she starred in the 2012 music video for the song Madness by the English rock band Muse.

In July 2018, Wasson married restaurateur Bart Tassy in Austin, Texas. Outside of her professional career, she is an art collector whose personal collection features works by artists Eric Swenson, Mark Flood, and Iván Navarro.
