Donny Pangilinan

Donato Antonio Laxa Pangilinan, born February 10, 1998, is a Filipino actor, presenter, singer, and video jockey. He began his career in Philippine entertainment in 2016 and has since starred in numerous film, television, and digital projects, becoming widely recognized for his work across major productions and his onscreen partnership with actress Belle Mariano.

Pangilinan was born to actress Maricel Laxa and businessman Anthony Pangilinan and has four siblings. He was named after both of his grandfathers, with his first name Donato derived from his paternal grandfather and his second name Antonio coming from his maternal grandfather, actor Tony Ferrer, whose birth name was Antonio Laxa. Pangilinan attended Brent International School for his secondary education and was admitted to the University of the Philippines Open University in 2018. In October 2022, he graduated with a Bachelor of Ministry in Christian Leadership degree from the College for Global Deployment alongside his sisters, Ella and Hannah.

Pangilinan started his career in a Koko Krunch commercial with his mother before making guest appearances on various ABS-CBN programs in 2016. He subsequently became a video jockey for the pay TV channel Myx and a host on the Sunday variety show ASAP. In 2018, he made his feature film debut in the Regal Films production Walwal, where he was paired with actress Kisses Delavin. That same year, he signed with Star Magic as part of Star Magic Circle 2018 and appeared in the films To Love Some Buddy and Fantastica. His onscreen partnership with Delavin ended in 2019.

After appearing in the film The Mall, The Merrier, Pangilinan played his first lead film role in James and Pat and Dave (2020) and co-hosted the variety show Sunday Noontime Live! in 2020. In November 2019, he was announced to team up with Belle Mariano for the iWantTFC series He's Into Her, which premiered in May 2021. The launch generated massive viewership that temporarily crashed the streaming platform. Pangilinan collaborated with Mariano on a duet version of "Sigurado" and recorded his own version of the series' theme song. Following the show's launch, the cast headlined a sold-out online concert, He's Into Her: The Benison Ball, leading to a second season and a documentary about the production.

In November 2021, Pangilinan released the single "Wings" under Universal Records Philippines. He and Mariano then starred in their first lead movie as a love team in Star Cinema's Love Is Color Blind, which topped Netflix trending lists in the Philippines. In 2022, Pangilinan appeared in Mariano's Daylight digital concert, returned for the second season of He's Into Her, and participated in Star Magic's 30th anniversary concert tour in the Philippines and the United States.

Between 2023 and 2024, Pangilinan and Mariano starred in their first prime time drama series, Can't Buy Me Love, in which Pangilinan played the character Bingo Mariano. He also starred alongside his mother in the esports drama film GG: Good Game (2024), co-starred in the romantic comedy miniseries How to Spot a Red Flag, and served as a guest judge on It's Showtime in 2024. In 2025, he was announced as a judge for the seventh season of Pilipinas Got Talent. As of 2024, he lives in Laguna.
