Caspar Lee

Caspar Richard George Lee, born on April 24, 1994, is a British-South African internet personality, entrepreneur, and investor. Born in London to television commercial producers Jonathan and Emily Lee, he spent his childhood in South Africa after his family relocated there in 1996. He grew up alongside his older sister, Theodora, spending his youth in Knysna and Durban, where he attended Crawford College, La Lucia. During his younger years, he received a diagnosis of Tourette's Syndrome.

Lee launched his online presence in 2011 by creating a YouTube channel originally named dicasp, which he later rebranded to Caspar. His early online activities brought him wider visibility, including a participation in the YouTube Boyband project in 2014 to benefit Comic Relief. By late 2013, he was highlighted by Yahoo! News as one of twelve web-savvy entrepreneurs to observe. During this time, he made domestic moves, living briefly with YouTuber Alfie Deyes in 2013, before relocating to a London apartment with Joe Sugg in 2014, and later sharing a residence with Josh Pieters in 2016.

Expanding into acting and traditional media, Lee performed in two episodes of the series Web Therapy alongside Lisa Kudrow in 2014. That same year, he portrayed the character Garlic in the comedy film Spud 3: Learning to Fly alongside John Cleese and Troye Sivan. In 2015 and 2016, he teamed up with Joe Sugg to star in the BBC Worldwide travel documentaries Joe and Caspar Hit the Road and its sequel, Joe and Caspar Hit The Road: USA. He subsequently co-starred with KSI in the 2016 film Laid in America and made an appearance in the 2017 music video for Charli XCX's song Boys. He also co-authored a hardcover biography with his mother, Emily, which was published in May 2016.

Over the course of his career, Lee transitioned significantly into corporate ventures and strategic investments. In August 2017, he stepped into the role of Chief Vision Officer for the UK influencer marketing firm Influencer Ltd. He co-founded the talent management agency Margravine Management alongside Joe Sugg, a business later rebranded as MVE. He further broadened his commercial interests in May 2020 by co-founding Proper Living, a student housing enterprise located in South Africa.

In 2022, Lee partnered with his cousin Sasha Kaletsky, a former private equity investor, to establish Creator Ventures. Their venture capital project secured $20 million in funding directed toward early-stage consumer-internet startup companies. That same year, Lee was featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for his contributions to advertising and media. On a personal note, Lee became engaged to Ambar Driscoll in 2022, and the couple married in 2025.
