Zara Larsson

Zara Maria Larsson is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She first gained public prominence in 2008 at the age of ten after winning the second season of the Swedish talent competition Talang. She is best known internationally for her hit singles, including "Uncover", "Lush Life", "Never Forget You", "Ain't My Fault", and her feature on Clean Bandit's single "Symphony". Across her career, she has achieved multiple chart-topping singles and albums in Sweden alongside commercial success throughout Europe and globally.

Larsson was born on 16 December 1997 in Solna, Stockholm, to Agnetha and Anders Larsson, and grew up in Tallkrogen in Enskede. She has a younger sister, Hanna, who is also a singer. Larsson attended Gubbängsskolan, briefly studied at a school on Ko Lanta in Thailand during third grade, and attended the Royal Swedish Ballet School until age 15 before studying at the secondary art school Kulturama in Stockholm. She has cited Carola Häggkvist and Whitney Houston as early musical inspirations.

Following her Talang victory and the release of her debut single "My Heart Will Go On" in 2008, Larsson signed with TEN Music Group in 2012. She released her debut extended play (EP), Introducing, in 2013, which produced her first Swedish number-one single, "Uncover". After signing with Epic Records, she released her Scandinavian debut studio album, 1, in 2014. Larsson achieved an international breakthrough with her second album, So Good (2017), led by successful singles such as "Lush Life", "Never Forget You" featuring MNEK, "Ain't My Fault", and "I Would Like". She also earned her first UK number-one single by featuring on Clean Bandit's track "Symphony".

Larsson maintained commercial success in Europe with her third studio album, Poster Girl (2021), led by the single "Ruin My Life". In 2022, she left TEN Music Group, acquired ownership of her musical catalogue, and established her own record label, Sommer House. Under this label, distributed via Epic Records and Sony Sweden, she released her holiday EP Honor the Light (2023) and her fourth studio album, Venus (2024), which featured singles including "Can't Tame Her" and "On My Love" with David Guetta.

In 2024, Larsson made her acting debut in the Swedish Netflix drama A Part of You. She released her fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, in 2025; its title track became her highest-charting solo entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 and earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording. The following year, her collaboration with PinkPantheress, "Stateside + Zara Larsson", topped the Billboard Global 200. Larsson has earned four Grammis awards, four MTV Europe Music Awards, two American Music Awards, and a Bambi Award, in addition to nominations for four Brit Awards.
