Tammy Hansen Grady

Tammy Hansen Grady, also known as Tammy Hanson or Tammy Grady, is an American actress, recording artist, photographer, and former glamour model. She was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 29, 1970. Over the course of her career, she has appeared in 16 music videos and worked across television, film, music, and photography.

Grady was raised in a family with significant involvement in the entertainment industry. Her mother, Beverly Harris, sang in the Capitol Records group The Harris Sisters—whose tracks included "Kissin Bug"—and later joined The Platters. Her aunt, Marcene Harris, was a pianist and songwriter for Nancy Wilson and Burt Bacharach, while her aunt Betty was married to comedian Redd Foxx. Grady developed an interest in acting and photography at a young age through her stepfather, Victor Hanson, who earned two master's degrees in Theater Arts and Cinematography from UCLA. Hanson was involved in making the 1965 short film Skaterdater, directed by Noel Black and produced by Marshal Backlar, which won the Palme d'Or for Best Short Film at the 1966 Cannes Film Festival.

In her early career, Grady worked as an actress and professional skater on the television show RollerGames on KTLA channel 5. She sang lead vocals for the program, including the songs "Hit and Run" and "Bad Attitude." She went on to perform on film soundtracks and in live performances across numerous countries. Her television work also included guest appearances on Geraldo, the Joe Bob Briggs Movie Drive-in Show, Las Vegas Cast Party, and special segments on Baywatch.

As a model, Grady was chosen by Playboy for a photo shoot with Stephen Wayda and was selected to perform for Playboy's Girls of Rock in Roll in Las Vegas, Reno, and Monte Carlo. Her modeling background also includes work as a Fredricks of Hollywood model, a Ujena swimwear model, and a trophy girl at the NAACP awards.

Grady pursued formal acting training in England, where she was accepted to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art to study Shakespeare in 1991. She later studied under acting coach Susan Batson, undertaking extensive preparation to play 1940s actress Frances Farmer in Drop-In, a theatre piece developed and produced by Batson, Corey Parker, and Carl Ford. She also portrayed Zola Taylor in the one-act play Why Do Fools Fall in Love at The Stella Adler Theater in Hollywood. Casting director Billy Hopkins later auditioned Grady for major roles in the film The Perez Family and an untitled Oliver Stone project opposite Al Pacino. After missing out on both roles, she chose to step away from acting to focus on family life.

In 2010 and 2011, Grady returned to working behind the camera as a student at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. During this time, she wrote, filmed, and directed two short films titled A Blissful Moment and Birthright. At present, she works as a Director of Photography (DP) and camera operator, while continuing to make her own films.
