Sydney Chandler

Sydney Chandler is an American performer who works in television and film. She gained recognition for her portrayals in miniseries and drama projects, notably taking on high-profile roles in television productions such as Pistol and Alien: Earth.

Chandler was born on February 13, 1996, to Kathryn, a screenwriter, and Kyle Chandler, an actor. Because of her father's career, her childhood involved frequent moves, including stays in Chicago and Los Angeles, before her family relocated to Dripping Springs, Texas. She grew up alongside a younger sister, Sawyer, and later completed her education at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas.

Her acting career began with a appearance in the 2018 digital series SKAM Austin. In 2020, she was attached to star in a revamped version of the horror movie Urban Legend, though the production was ultimately scrapped due to timing conflicts. Consequently, Chandler made her feature film debut in the 2022 psychological thriller Don't Worry Darling, directed by Olivia Wilde, where she played a supporting character.

Chandler secured a major television opportunity when she was cast as musician Chrissie Hynde in the FX biographical miniseries Pistol. To prepare for the character, she acquired skills in guitar performance and vocal technique. She was also chosen to lead the Showtime drama series Coercion, created by Susannah Grant, though production had not yet commenced by mid-2024. Additionally, Chandler featured alongside Colin Farrell in the 2024 Apple TV+ mystery series Sugar.

In 2023, Chandler was selected for the primary role in Noah Hawley's series Alien: Earth for FX on Hulu. Following the conclusion of shooting in mid-2024, the program premiered in August 2025. Her contribution to this project earned her a Gotham Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Drama Series. Her upcoming screen projects include the film Anima.
