Sunny Anderson

Sunny Anderson is an American television host, cook, and author. She is best known as a long-running personality on Food Network, where she has hosted and co-hosted numerous culinary and lifestyle programs. Her cooking style emphasizes approachable comfort food informed by international influences she experienced while growing up in a military family.

Anderson served in the United States Air Force as a radio broadcast journalist in Seoul, South Korea, and in San Antonio, Texas, earning the rank of Senior Airman. Following her military discharge, she worked as a radio personality, including a position at HOT 97 in New York City. She later launched a catering business, Sunny's Delicious Dishes, which led to her television career after guest appearances on Food Network.

She officially joined Food Network with her show Gotta Get It in 2007. Anderson subsequently hosted Cooking for Real and How'd That Get on My Plate?, and served as a co-host on the long-running series The Kitchen. Her television work also includes hosting BBQ Brawl, Spring Baking Championship: Easter, and appearances as a guest chef and judge across various daytime and competition shows. In addition to her broadcast career, she authored the New York Times best-selling cookbook Sunny's Kitchen: Easy Food for Real Life.
