Sreeleela

Sreeleela is an American actress of Indian origin who works primarily in Telugu cinema. She began her career in entertainment as a child artist before transitioning into lead roles, later becoming one of the highest-paid actresses in Telugu cinema. Beyond her acting career, she is also a qualified medical doctor and a celebrity brand endorser.

Sreeleela was born on June 14, 2001, into a Telugu family in Detroit, Michigan, and was raised in Bengaluru, India. Her mother, Swarnalatha, is a gynaecologist. During her childhood, Sreeleela began training in Bharatanatyam and frequently visited her maternal grandparents in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh. While pursuing her early screen work, she maintained her medical studies, eventually graduating with an MBBS degree from the D. Y. Patil School of Medicine in Navi Mumbai in 2026.

She made her acting debut as a child artist in the 2017 Telugu film Chitrangada. Her lead debut came in the 2019 Kannada film Kiss, directed by A. P. Arjun, who discovered her social media photographs. The film achieved box office success, and she followed it that same year with the Kannada film Bharaate. In 2021, Sreeleela made her Telugu cinema debut leading the romantic musical film Pelli SandaD.

Her career expanded further in 2022 when she appeared in the Kannada romantic comedy By Two Love, made a special appearance in the film James, and co-starred in the major box-office hit Dhamaka. In 2023, she appeared in the action film Skanda, the commercial success Bhagavanth Kesari, the action comedy Aadikeshava, and the romantic comedy Extra Ordinary Man. Her performance in Bhagavanth Kesari earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Telugu.

In 2024, Sreeleela starred as the female lead in the action drama Guntur Kaaram, where her performance in the musical number Kurchi Madathapetti gained widespread digital popularity. That same year, she made a featured appearance in the musical number Kissik in Pushpa 2: The Rule. Her subsequent projects in 2025 included the action comedy Robinhood and the bilingual feature Junior. Over the course of her career, she has won three South Indian International Movie Awards.

In addition to her film work, Sreeleela serves as a brand ambassador for national brands, including Santoor Shower Gels and Birla Opus Paints. In her personal life, she adopted two children with disabilities in February 2022 and adopted a third child in April 2025, fully funding their healthcare, education, and living expenses.
