Sessilee Lopez

Sessilee Lopez is an American model of Dominican descent who is known for her extensive runway and editorial work in the fashion industry. Born on January 4, 1989, she has two sisters, fashion designer Kristian Lorén and medical student Latoya Mendez. She has also appeared alongside her mother, businesswoman and author Janice Celeste, and her sister Latoya on the television show Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss.

Lopez began her modeling career in 2004 when she signed with IMG Models. That same year, she made her runway debut at the Fall 2004 shows for Vivienne Tam and Daryl K. In 2007, she switched her representation to Major Model Management Worldwide, and she continues to be represented by Major Model Management.

Over the course of her career, Lopez has established herself in prominent print media, appearing in editorials for American, Italian, French, Japanese, and German Vogue, as well as V Magazine, W Magazine, Allure, i-D, Dazed & Confused, Marie Claire, Numéro, Swedish, American, and French Elle, and Spanish and American Harper's Bazaar. She has also graced the covers of Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar, and French Numéro. Notably, she featured on one of the four covers for Vogue's "All Black" issue and appeared alongside models Arlenis Sosa, Chanel Iman, and Jourdan Dunn on the September 2009 cover of i-D magazine.

In addition to her print work, Lopez served as a long-time muse for photographer Steven Meisel. Her career includes walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in both 2008 and 2009. She has also walked the runway for numerous major fashion houses and designers, including Givenchy, Hermés, Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar De La Renta, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lanvin, Emporio Armani, Diane Von Furstenberg, Dries Van Noten, Rag & Bone, Tory Burch, Fendi, Carolina Herrera, Mulberry, Tommy Hilfiger, La Perla, Missoni, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander Wang, and Zac Posen.

Lopez's advertising presence spans major fashion and retail brands. She has appeared in campaigns for Hermés, Calvin Klein, Lanvin, DKNY, Halston, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, Uniqlo, Barneys New York, H&M, Benetton, Nordstrom, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Levi's, and MAC Cosmetics. Expanding beyond traditional modeling work, she appeared in the 2015 film Supermodel alongside Tyson Beckford.
