Sage Erickson

Sage Erickson is an American professional surfer who achieved prominence on the international competitive surfing circuit. Born on December 28, 1990, in Ojai, California, she later relocated to the Hawaiian island of Oahu at the age of nine. She first attempted surfing at Sunset Beach alongside her family when she was eleven years old, riding her initial wave completely to the shore. Following that experience, she committed to daily surfing practice. At fourteen, she relocated to Ventura, California, which became her ongoing place of residence.

Erickson launched her competitive surfing career at the age of fourteen. She initially built her reputation through strong performances on both the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) and Pro Junior competitive circuits. Building on this early success, she qualified at age twenty-one in 2012 for the premier women's tour, then known as the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) and later rebranded as the World Surf League.

Throughout her time on the elite tour, Erickson achieved significant competitive results, including finishing ninth in the overall World Surfing Tour rankings in 2016. Her professional achievements led to coverage across various sports media outlets, including features with ESPN, GrindTV, and Surfer Magazine. Outside of pure sports media, she was included in Maxim's list of the top 100 hottest women in 2014, where she was ranked at number 87.

Over the course of her athletic career, Erickson has established commercial partnerships with several major brands. Her list of corporate sponsors includes Buell Wetsuits, Channel Islands Surfboards (CI), Oakley, Freestyle watches, Perfect Fit, Db Journey, and Shell.

In addition to her athletic pursuits, Erickson has engaged in public appearances, such as participating in a sustainability awareness segment on the Los Angeles Rams YouTube channel in January 2021 alongside athlete Cooper Kupp and Sarina Morales. In her personal life, she began a relationship with professional baseball player Daniel Norris in 2021, and the couple married in November 2023.
