Remi Wolf

Remi Francis Wolf is an American singer and songwriter raised in Palo Alto, California. She first gained national television exposure as a high school contestant on American Idol before pursuing formal music studies. Wolf is widely recognized for her modern pop sound, which incorporates elements of soul and funk, as well as for her studio albums Juno and Big Ideas, along with several popular extended plays.

Born on February 2, 1996, to a Sicilian mother and a Russian-Persian father, Wolf spent her childhood in Palo Alto. At approximately eight years old, she began participating in competitive skiing. Her musical endeavors started around age 14 when she co-founded her initial group, Remi and Chloe, later expanded as Remi, Chloe, & The Extracts. During her senior year at Palo Alto High School in 2014, she auditioned for the thirteenth season of American Idol, progressing to the Hollywood week stage. At age 17, she relocated to Los Angeles to study at the USC Thornton School of Music, earned her undergraduate degree in 2018, and has remained based in the city.

While in high school, Wolf established a creative partnership with producer Jared Solomon. She launched her solo recording career with the Solomon-produced single "Guy" in 2019, leading to supporting tour slots for Still Woozy and Cautious Clay, alongside appearances at festivals such as Viva Pomona! and the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. In late 2019, she self-released her introductory EP, You're a Dog!. Shortly after signing with Island Records, she issued the EP I'm Allergic to Dogs! in June 2020. This project featured tracks like "Woo!", "Disco Man", and "Photo ID," the latter of which gained wide traction on TikTok and achieved a position on Australian radio station Triple J's Hottest 100 countdown. Additionally, her song "Hello Hello Hello" appeared in a commercial for the iPhone 12.

In May 2021, Wolf put out We Love Dogs!, a remix EP featuring collaborative contributions from artists including Beck, Dominic Fike, Sylvan Esso, and Hot Chip. Her full-length studio debut, Juno, arrived through Island Records in October 2021, supported by singles such as "Liquor Store," "Grumpy Old Man," and "Quiet on Set." An expanded deluxe edition followed in June 2022. To promote her music, Wolf opened for Lorde on her North American tour, played European venues including Florence's Firenze Rocks festival alongside Nas and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and embarked on her headline "Gwingle Gwongle" tour. She also recorded the Live at Electric Lady EP, launched her first tour across Australia and New Zealand, and performed at the Coachella festival in April 2023.

Wolf continued expanding her reach through notable placements and live performances, including a featured spot for her track "Monte Carlo" in a 2023 Netflix feature film and an opening role on the European leg of Olivia Rodrigo's Guts World Tour. In July 2024, she issued her second studio album, Big Ideas, which achieved sales chart positions in the United Kingdom and Scotland. The record was preceded by several promotional tracks, including "Cinderella," "Toro," and "Soup." In mid-2026, she acted as herself in the debut episode of the series Off Campus and released the singles "Twiggy" and "Bottle" to promote her third studio project, Mud, set for an October 2026 release.
