About Perkz
Luka Perković, known professionally by the handle Perkz, is a Croatian former competitive League of Legends player. Widely regarded as one of the premier Western competitors in the game's history, he accumulated eight regional European titles alongside a North American title throughout his career. Perkz achieved major international success as a prominent member of G2 Esports, winning the Mid-Season Invitational in 2019 and advancing to the finals of the World Championship that same year.
Perković began his professional esports career midway through 2013 with GSI Gaming. The following year, he competed at DreamHack Summer 2014, though his team did not advance past the group stage. Before the organization disbanded later in 2014, Perković secured a victory at EpicGear Cup 16 and a second-place finish at EpicGear Cup 17. Early in 2015, he joined Gamers2 to participate in the EU CS Spring Qualifier before a short stint with Millenium, where he placed second at Gamers Assembly 2015. He returned to Gamers2 in May 2015, remaining with the organization through its rebrand to G2 Esports in October.
During G2 Esports' inaugural year in the EU LCS in 2016, Perković helped lead the squad to a first-place regular season finish with a 15–3 record. G2 won the spring split playoffs by defeating Fnatic and Origen, securing a spot at the 2016 Mid-Season Invitational. At the event, the team struggled early, losing their first four matches and finishing fifth overall, which cost Europe its Pool 1 seed at the World Championship. Despite the team's international setback, Perković was named Rookie of the Split and selected to the LEC 1st All-Pro Team.
In 2019, following the arrival of mid-laner Caps, Perković transitioned to the AD Carry position. That season became exceptionally successful as G2 Esports became the first European organization to win the Mid-Season Invitational. The team also reached the 2019 World Championship final, finishing as runners-up to FunPlus Phoenix. In 2020, Perković alternated between mid lane and bot lane roles. Despite taking a temporary break during the summer split due to stress, he returned to help G2 win another LEC title and reach the World Championship semifinals for a third consecutive top-four finish before leaving the organization in November 2020.
Perković joined North American team Cloud9 for the 2021 season as their starting mid-laner. He led the team to victory in the 2021 LCS Mid-Season Showdown, receiving Player of the Series honors in the final and becoming the second player ever to win both an LEC and LCS championship. He subsequently guided Cloud9 to the quarterfinals of the 2021 World Championship. Across his career, Perković collected eight LEC titles, one LCS title, two Rift Rivals victories, and multiple regional All-Pro selections.
