Norkys Batista

Norkys Yelitza Batista Villarroel is a Venezuelan actress, fashion model, and beauty pageant titleholder. Born on August 30, 1977, she initially gained public recognition through her success in national and international beauty contests before transitioning into a career in television broadcasting, acting, and entrepreneurship.

Batista grew up in a low-income community located in the southwestern area of Caracas, Venezuela. She was raised alongside eight siblings by her mother, Migdalis Villarroel Batista, a housewife, and her stepfather, Luis Batista, who worked as a company chief of staff. While pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez, she began working in commercial modeling.

Her public profile rose significantly in 1999 when she secured the first runner-up position in the Miss Venezuela competition. She subsequently represented her country in several international pageants, achieving the first runner-up spot and winning the Most Beautiful Face award at the Reinado Internacional del Café in 2000. That same year, she won the titles for both Miss Atlántico Internacional and Miss Latina Internacional.

Batista's early television career involved modeling and hosting duties for RCTV, where she appeared on programs including Gente de la Manaña and Atrevete a Soñar, and served as a co-host for La Tropa de Vacaciones. She made her formal acting debut in 2002 on the RCTV telenovela Juana La Virgen. Her major acting breakthrough occurred in 2004 when she secured her first lead role in Estrambotica Anastasia, portraying a set of triplets.

In the following years, Batista expanded her television resume by joining Venevisión. She co-starred in the 2012 production Mi ex me tiene ganas and portrayed the primary antagonist in the 2013 telenovela De todas maneras Rosa. Beyond her television roles, she expanded into business by launching her own line of bathing suits and underwear in 2014.

In her personal life, Batista married dentist, actor, and model Leonardo Luttinger on May 3, 2003, following a two-year courtship. The couple had a son, Sebastian Luttinger Batista, born on January 20, 2006. In addition to her business ventures, she has actively toured inside Venezuela and internationally, performing in the theatrical production Orgasmos alongside actor Xavier Muñoz.
