Nora Fatehi

Nora Fatehi, born Naura Fathi on February 6, 1992, is a Canadian singer, dancer, and actress based in India. She primarily works in Hindi cinema while also appearing in Telugu and Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in the Hindi feature Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans. Fatehi achieved wide public recognition through her special appearance dance songs in Telugu films such as Temper, Baahubali: The Beginning, and Kick 2, as well as through her prominent work in Hindi film soundtrack videos.

Fatehi was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and is of Moroccan descent from both her mother's and father's side. She graduated from Westview Centennial Secondary School in Toronto and went on to study political science and international relations at York University. In interviews, she has stated that she considers herself an Indian at heart.

Following her debut role as CJ in Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans, Fatehi appeared in item numbers such as "Ittage Recchipodham" in Temper, "Manohari" in Baahubali: The Beginning, and "Kukkurukuru" in Kick 2. She also made a special appearance in Mr. X and signed roles in Telugu releases including Sher, Loafer, and the bilingual film Oopiri/Thozha. In late 2015, Fatehi entered the reality television series Bigg Boss 9 as a wild card contestant, staying for three weeks. She later competed in the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 in 2016 and starred as the lead actress in My Birthday Song.

In 2018, Fatehi gained significant popularity featuring in the recreated song "Dilbar" for the Hindi film Satyameva Jayate. The track crossed 20 million views on YouTube within its first 24 hours, becoming the first Hindi song in India to reach those figures, and later made Fatehi the first African-Arab female artiste to pass one billion views on YouTube. She released an Arabic version of "Dilbar" with Moroccan hip-hop group Fnaïre. In 2019, Fatehi signed an exclusive contract with record label T-Series, appearing in songs such as "O Saki O Saki" in Batla House and "Ek Toh Kum Zindagani" in Marjaavaan, alongside playing Suzan Vilayati Khan in the film Bharat.

Fatehi broadened her international music presence with the English debut single "Pepeta" alongside Tanzanian musician Rayvanny and "Dirty Little Secret" with Zack Knight. In October 2022, she featured in "Light The Sky" for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar alongside artists RedOne, Manal, Balqees, and Rahma Riad, later performing at the tournament's closing ceremony. In 2026, she performed the FIFA World Cup soundtrack song "Siir Siir" with Vegedream in Toronto. Her film roles include dancer Mia in Street Dancer 3D, spy Heena in Bhuj: The Pride of India, social media influencer Alia in Crakk, and Tasha in Madgaon Express.

In addition to film and music, Fatehi served as a judge on television dance shows Dance Deewane Juniors and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. She signed a recording contract with Warner Music Group in February 2024 for her international music endeavors. Fatehi endorses brands such as Dabur and CakeZone, participated in "The Entertainers" tour across the United States in March 2023, and became the only actress to perform twice at the IIFA Awards.
