Navia Nguyen

Navia Nguyen is a Vietnamese American model and entrepreneur. Born on Phu Quoc, South Vietnam, she was raised in New York City. She is widely recognized for her accomplishments in the fashion industry and is considered to be the first Asian supermodel.

Her career began at the age of 14 when photographer Stephan Lupino discovered her. A photograph he took of Nguyen was featured on the cover of Zoom magazine, leading to her being signed by Elite Model Management.

Nguyen quickly established a prominent presence in fashion and print media. She appeared in the 1996 Pirelli Calendar and was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 1997. She was also selected by People Magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People.

Throughout her modeling career, Nguyen worked with major international fashion houses, including Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, Fendi, and Christian Dior. In addition to high-fashion houses, she modeled for American commercial brands such as GAP and Tommy Hilfiger.

By 2008, Nguyen stepped away from acting and modeling to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. She founded AMO World in Bali, an enterprise that encompasses AMO Baths, AMO Skin, AMO Spa, and AMO Cafe.

In her personal life, Nguyen is the mother of a 16-year-old daughter. She currently divides her time between Dumbo, Brooklyn, and Canggu, Bali.
