Early Life and Background

Currie was raised in small-town Ontario, Canada, where she spent her youth exploring nature and engaging in creative arts. In her late teens while living in Costa Rica, she was introduced to formal yoga practice as a transformative pathway to manage debilitating anxiety and build physical strength. She began with rigorous Ashtanga training before expanding her studies into Anusara and Yin practices. Combining structural body alignment with expressive physical fluidity, she developed a distinct teaching methodology characterized by slow, playful, and dance-like sequences.
