Rosanna Davison

Rosanna Diane Davison is an Irish model, writer, actress, singer, and beauty pageant titleholder who gained international prominence after winning Miss World in 2003. Born on 17 April 1984 in County Dublin, Ireland, she is the daughter of musician Chris de Burgh, who dedicated the track "For Rosanna" on his 1986 album Into the Light to her.

Davison received her early schooling at Aravon School in County Wicklow and Rathdown School in Glenageary, County Dublin, where she served as a class prefect before completing her leaving certificate in 2002. She later pursued higher education in health sciences, graduating from the College of Naturopathic Medicine and obtaining a Master of Science in personalised nutrition from Middlesex University.

Her public career began in August 2003 when she won the Miss Ireland competition in Dublin. She advanced to the Miss World contest held in Sanya, China, in December 2003, winning the crown against 106 other participants. Her victory marked the first time an Irish delegate achieved the title since the pageant's inception in 1951. As Miss World, she traveled internationally to several countries, including China, Canada, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Following her reign, Davison expanded into television presenting and publishing. In October 2013, she began hosting segments for LFC TV, the official television channel for Liverpool Football Club. She secured a publishing contract with Gill Books in February 2015 and released her debut cookbook, Eat Yourself Beautiful, in August 2015. The publication focused on plant-based nutrition and became a best-seller.

Beyond her media projects, Davison is a qualified nutritional therapist who actively advocates for the health benefits of plant-based eating. She has worked with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) on campaigns supporting vegetarian and vegan diets. In late 2023, she was announced as a contestant for the seventh season of the television show Dancing with the Stars.

In her personal life, Davison began dating Wesley Quirke in 2006. The couple became engaged in 2013, married in the summer of 2014, and subsequently spent their honeymoon in the Seychelles. They are the parents of a daughter and twin sons.
