Matt Lanter

Matthew MacKendree Lanter is an American actor born on April 1, 1983. He is widely recognized for his television roles, including Liam Court in the drama series 90210 and Wyatt Logan in the science fiction series Timeless. He is also prominent for his extensive voice acting in the Star Wars franchise, most notably voicing Anakin Skywalker across animated films, television series, and video games.

Lanter was born in Massillon, Ohio, to a mother who worked as a school secretary and a father who worked in insurance. He has one older sister. At age eight, his family relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he played baseball during his youth and served as a batboy for the Atlanta Braves for two seasons. He later attended the University of Georgia, where he majored in business.

His career in entertainment began in 2004 when he competed on the reality show Manhunt: The Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model and started modeling. That same year, he appeared in the biographical film Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius. In 2005, he appeared in the drama series Point Pleasant and was cast as a series regular on ABC's political drama Commander in Chief, portraying Horace Calloway until its cancellation in 2006. He also made guest appearances on shows such as Grey's Anatomy and Big Love.

In 2008, Lanter starred in the television movie The Cutting Edge: Chasing the Dream and the spoof film Disaster Movie. He went on to appear in the 2009 slasher film Sorority Row and joined the cast of the CW's 90210 as Liam Court, becoming a main cast member in its second season. His subsequent film projects included the parody movie Vampires Suck in 2010, the psychological thriller The Roommate in 2011, Liars All, A Chance of Rain, and Pitch Perfect 3.

Lanter gained significant recognition through his voice work in the Star Wars franchise, beginning with the 2008 animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, where he voiced Anakin Skywalker. He continued voicing the character across all seven seasons of the television series, as well as in Star Wars Rebels, the video game Star Wars Battlefront II, and the miniseries Tales of the Jedi. He also contributed voice roles to Episode VII: The Force Awakens and appeared on-screen as Lant Davan in an episode of The Mandalorian. Additionally, his voice work encompasses roles in Ultimate Spider-Man, Secret of the Wings, and audiobook narration.

In 2013, Lanter co-starred in the science fiction drama series Star-Crossed. He later played Wyatt Logan in NBC's Timeless from 2016 to 2018 and was cast as George Hutchence in Netflix's superhero series Jupiter's Legacy in 2019. In his personal life, Lanter married Angela Stacy in June 2013 after dating since 2009. The couple has a daughter born in 2017 and a son born in 2025. In March 2022, he underwent emergency surgery for a closed-loop intestinal obstruction.
