Madison Anderson

Madison Sara Anderson Berríos is a Puerto Rican-American model and beauty pageant titleholder. She is best known for being crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 and representing Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant, where she finished as the first runner-up. In 2023, she gained further recognition as the winner of the third season of the reality television show La Casa de los Famosos.

Anderson was born on November 10, 1995, in Phoenix, Arizona, to her father Adam Anderson and her mother Belinda Berríos. When she was three months old, her family relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she later graduated from Dr. Phillips High School. Following high school, she pursued studies in fashion design and textiles at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and later began studying marketing and public relations. Outside of her studies, Anderson worked in Saint Kitts and Nevis to assist female victims of domestic violence.

Her career in pageantry began as a teenager when she placed as the fourth runner-up at the Miss Florida Teen USA 2014 competition. She subsequently earned the right to represent Puerto Rico at Top Model of the World 2015, where she finished as the fourth runner-up. Following that achievement, she was crowned Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2016 and represented her country at Miss Grand International 2016, placing as the third runner-up.

After a brief hiatus from pageantry, Anderson competed in Miss Florida USA 2019, where she finished as the first runner-up to winner Nicolette Jennings. Later that year, she entered the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 competition representing the municipality of Toa Baja. On June 13, 2019, she won the title, succeeding previous titleholder Kiara Ortega.

As Miss Universe Puerto Rico, Anderson represented Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2019 and finished as the first runner-up. This achievement marked the highest non-winning placement for Puerto Rico at Miss Universe since Cynthia Olavarría finished as first runner-up in 2005. Later in her career, Anderson participated in television, competing in and winning season three of La Casa de los Famosos in 2023.
