Kerry Katona

Kerry Jayne Elizabeth Katona, born 6 September 1980 in Warrington, Cheshire, is an English media personality and former singer. She gained recognition as an original member of the pop girl group Atomic Kitten and later established herself as a prominent figure in British reality television, notably winning the third series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2004.

Raised by four sets of foster parents and attending eight different schools, Katona left school at age 16. She briefly toured Europe as a lap dancer and worked as a glamour model, appearing in publications such as The Sun, Zoo, New!, Now, and Star.

In 1998, Katona joined Atomic Kitten alongside Liz McClarnon and Heidi Range, who was later replaced by Natasha Hamilton. The group achieved initial commercial success with singles like "Right Now." However, Katona departed the group in early 2001, just prior to the release of their hit single "Whole Again," due to an unexpected pregnancy and interpersonal conflicts. She later rejoined McClarnon and Hamilton in 2013 for the reality series The Big Reunion and toured with Atomic Kitten until leaving again in 2017.

Katona built an extensive television career beginning in the early 2000s. She presented ElimiDate, served as a judge on You're a Star, and starred in her own show My Fair Kerry. Between 2008 and 2010, MTV UK broadcast five reality series focused on her life, health, and personal struggles, including Kerry Katona: Crazy in Love and Kerry Katona: Coming Clean. In 2011, she placed eighth on Dancing on Ice, finished as runner-up on Celebrity Big Brother, and starred in Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter.

In subsequent years, Katona continued to appear across various media platforms. She won the reality competition series Celebs on the Farm and Celebrity Ghost Trip in 2021, competed on Celeb Cooking School in 2022, and appeared twice on Celebs Go Dating. Katona also co-hosted the podcast Wheel of Misfortune, operated an online clothing business named Kerry's Boutique, and established a channel on OnlyFans. In 2025, she embarked on a live tour alongside Katie Price, and in 2026 she released the single "Home Again (World Cup 2026)" to raise funds for children in foster homes.

Throughout her career, Katona's personal life has received media coverage. She has five children from marriages to Brian McFadden, Mark Croft, and George Kay. Katona has spoken publicly about her diagnoses of bipolar disorder, dyslexia, and ADHD, as well as her past struggles with substance abuse, bankruptcy filings in 2008 and 2013, and her work as a patron for the charity The Shannon Bradshaw Trust.
