Justin Drew Bieber is a Canadian singer who rose to prominence in the late 2000s after being discovered by talent manager Scooter Braun. Known as a prominent figure in contemporary popular music and an early teen idol, Bieber was signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG) and later Island Records. Over his career, he has achieved widespread international commercial success, becoming one of the best-selling music artists of all time with more than 150 million units sold worldwide.

Bieber was born on March 1, 1994, in London, Ontario, and raised in Stratford. Raised by his mother with the help of his grandparents, he attended local French-language immersion schools and later graduated from St. Michael Catholic Secondary School in 2012. He taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet during his childhood. In 2007, after placing in a local singing contest, videos of his performances were uploaded to YouTube, leading to his discovery by Braun and subsequent relocation to Atlanta, Georgia, to record demo tapes and work alongside Usher.

Bieber launched his commercial career with the release of his debut extended play, My World, in November 2009. Supported by the single "One Time," the release made him the first solo artist to have four singles chart in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 prior to a debut album. He followed this with his debut studio album, My World 2.0 (2010), which featured the international hit single "Baby" and debuted atop the US Billboard 200, making him the youngest solo male artist to reach the top spot in 47 years.

His discography rapidly expanded with the holiday album Under the Mistletoe (2011), Believe (2012), Purpose (2015), Changes (2020), and Justice (2021), alongside his seventh and eighth studio albums, Swag and Swag II, released in 2025. Through these releases, he secured multiple record-breaking chart achievements, including becoming the first artist to hold five number-one albums in the United States by age 18, and later the youngest solo act to earn eight number-one US albums. His hit singles include "Where Are Ü Now", "Love Yourself", "Sorry", "What Do You Mean?", "Peaches", and "Stay", as well as notable featured appearances on "I'm the One" and "Despacito".

Beyond studio recordings, Bieber has engaged in extensive concert touring and multimedia projects, including the 3-D concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (2011). His achievements have earned him two Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award, eight Juno Awards, two Brit Awards, 26 Billboard Music Awards, 19 American Music Awards, six MTV Video Music Awards, a record 22 MTV Europe Music Awards, and five RIAA diamond certifications. He has also been listed among Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world and Forbes' top 10 most powerful celebrities.
