Jamie Oliver

James Trevor "Jamie" Oliver is a British celebrity chef, restaurateur, television personality, and author. Born in Clavering, Essex, England, in May 1975, he grew up working in his parents' pub and restaurant. He later attended Westminster Kingsway College to gain formal qualifications in home economics before training in professional kitchens in London. Oliver gained nationwide recognition in 1999 following the debut of his BBC television series, The Naked Chef, which showcased his approachable and informal style of cooking.

Throughout his career, Oliver has hosted numerous television programs, published dozens of bestselling cookbooks, and built a wide-reaching culinary and media enterprise. In addition to television shows such as Jamie's 15-Minute Meals, Jamie's Great Britain, and Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, he launched several restaurant ventures over the years. These included Fifteen, a non-profit social initiative designed to train disadvantaged young people for hospitality careers, as well as the commercial chain Jamie's Italian. His published cookbooks have sold tens of millions of copies worldwide, making him one of the highest-selling non-fiction authors in the United Kingdom.

Beyond his culinary and media ventures, Oliver is widely recognized for his public health activism and advocacy for nutritional awareness. In 2005, he spearheaded the Feed Me Better campaign to improve the quality of meals served in British schools, an effort that received widespread public support and prompted government funding and policy reform. He has since continued to advocate for food education in schools, combat childhood obesity, and champion restrictions on the marketing of junk food to young audiences.

Oliver remains an influential figure in international culinary media. He continues to author cookbooks, host culinary shows, and oversee recipe development and brand partnerships.
