Born on 18 March 1976 in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Willis attended Wylde Green Primary School and John Willmott School. She began her career in the fashion industry, starting modelling at the age of 15. As a model, she appeared in campaigns and publications for prominent retailers and luxury brands, including Marie Claire, Elle, Vogue, GAP, and Chanel.
Willis transitioned into broadcasting in 2002 after securing her first major presenting role on MTV. Following this breakthrough, she guest-hosted popular British television shows such as CD:UK, This Morning, and Loose Women. Her work with ITV expanded in 2007 when she co-presented I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Willis was appointed as the primary host of both Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, presenting both reality flagship shows through 2018. During her tenure, she also hosted the Channel 5 Mum of the Year Awards special in 2014.
Willis achieved further prominence on the BBC when she became the co-host of the talent competition show The Voice UK in 2014. She continued to lead the program following its transfer to ITV in 2017, and hosted its spin-off competition, The Voice Kids, from 2017 to 2023. Her other television projects include hosting the documentary series What Would Be Your Miracle, co-presenting the 2017 BRIT Awards, and taking over as host of Channel 4's reality show The Circle in 2019 and 2021. In 2024, she began co-hosting the Netflix dating series Love Is Blind with her husband, and in 2026, she joined the BBC dance competition Strictly Come Dancing as a co-presenter.
Beyond television, Willis co-hosted the Sunday Morning Breakfast show across the Heart radio network alongside Stephen Mulhern from 2012 to 2018, and secured a Saturday afternoon program on BBC Radio 2 beginning in 2026. She has also served as a brand ambassador for companies such as Gillette Venus, Oral-B, and Absolute Collagen.
