Claudia Winkleman is a prominent English television and radio presenter, journalist, and author best known for hosting top-rated British entertainment shows. Early Life & Education

Born on January 15, 1972, in Westminster, London, Winkleman grew up in Hampstead in a family deeply immersed in media and publishing. Her mother, Eve Pollard, was a high-profile newspaper editor, while her father, Barry Winkleman, was a book publisher. She attended the City of London School for Girls before studying History of Art at New Hall, Cambridge, graduating with a Master of Arts degree before pursuing a broadcasting career.

Television & Radio Career

Winkleman began her television career in the early 1990s as a reporter for regional programs and BBC travel series such as Holiday. Her breakout live hosting roles included presenting Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on BBC Two. She later co-hosted the main Strictly Come Dancing flagship series on BBC One alongside Tess Daly for over a decade. Winkleman gained widespread critical acclaim as the host of the BBC hit reality competition series The Traitors, for which she won the BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance in 2023. Beyond reality television, she hosted Channel 4's music talent show The Piano, served as a longtime presenter on BBC Radio 2, and hosted her own BBC chat show.
