Don Toliver

Caleb Zackary "Don" Toliver is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Raised in the Alief neighborhood of Houston, Texas, he is best known for his solo recording career and his affiliations with Cactus Jack Records. Toliver gained widespread industry attention following his guest appearance on fellow Houston rapper Travis Scott's 2018 album Astroworld, after which he signed a joint venture contract with Scott's Cactus Jack imprint and Atlantic Records.

Toliver attended Hastings High School in Alief. Growing up, he listened to artists such as Michael Jackson, Usher, and Swishahouse Classics. His father was a singer and rapper associated with the independent Houston record label Swishahouse and frequently played music around him. Toliver has credited his father alongside Sade, Dom Kennedy, Teddy Pendergrass, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, and Travis Scott as musical influences.

Toliver began releasing music in 2017, starting with the collaborative mixtape Playa Familia alongside Yungjosh93, followed by solo singles including "I Gotta" and "Diva." In early 2018, he signed with Atlantic Records, We Run It Entertainment, and Artist Partner Group, subsequently issuing the singles "Make Sumn" and "Checks." In August 2018, Toliver released his major label debut mixtape, Donny Womack. One day later, Scott released Astroworld, featuring Toliver on the track "Can't Say," which led directly to Toliver signing with Cactus Jack.

Throughout 2019, Toliver released singles under Cactus Jack, including "No Idea," which achieved viral popularity on TikTok and earned a triple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He also appeared on the Cactus Jack compilation project JackBoys and Eminem's album Music to Be Murdered By. In March 2020, Toliver released his debut studio album, Heaven or Hell, which peaked in the top ten of the Billboard 200 chart. He earned further success that year with the triple-platinum single "After Party" and his feature on Internet Money's top-ten Billboard Hot 100 single "Lemonade."

Toliver released his second studio album, Life of a Don, in October 2021, supported by singles such as "What You Need" and "Drugs N Hella Melodies." Like his debut, the project reached the top ten of the Billboard 200. During this period, he appeared on major releases including Kanye West's Donda and Metro Boomin's Heroes & Villains. In February 2023, he released his third studio album, Love Sick, which featured collaborations with Kali Uchis, Travis Scott, Lil Durk, and GloRilla, also peaking in the top ten of the Billboard 200.

In June 2024, Toliver released his trap-centered fourth studio album, Hardstone Psycho, which reached number three on the Billboard 200 and included the top 40 single "Bandit." Following his participation in the 2025 collaborative album JackBoys 2, Toliver released his fifth album, Octane, in January 2026, marking his first number-one album. In his personal life, Toliver has been in a relationship with singer Kali Uchis since 2020, and the couple welcomed a son in March 2024.
