Charlotte Cardin

Charlotte Cardin-Goyer, born November 9, 1994, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and model. She grew up in the Town of Mount Royal on the island of Montreal. Over the course of her musical career, she has earned 14 Juno Award nominations and achieved widespread acclaim for her studio albums and extended plays.

Cardin began modeling at the age of 15, appearing in advertising campaigns including Barilà. She gained public attention as a musician in 2013 after finishing as a Top 4 finalist on the first season of the TVA singing competition La Voix. That same year, she featured on Garou's single "Du vent, des mots" from his album Au milieu de ma vie, later joining him on the French television show The Voice: la plus belle voix in March 2014 to perform the track.

In 2016, Cardin released her debut solo EP, Big Boy, through Cult Nation Records. Featuring songs in both French and English, the EP included the single "Like It Doesn't Hurt" featuring rapper Nate Husser. Her song "Les échardes" was shortlisted for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize in the French category, while the title track "Big Boy" charted on CBC Radio 2's Top 20. In 2017, she became the first artist nominated in both English and French categories in the same year at the SOCAN Songwriting Prize for "Big Boy" and "Faufile". That same year, she released her second EP, Main Girl, which led to two 2018 Juno Award nominations for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.

Cardin released her debut full-length album, Phoenix, on April 23, 2021, co-writing the record with her manager Jason Brando. Supported by the 2020 singles "Passive Aggressive" and "Daddy", the album won Anglophone Album of the Year at the 43rd Félix Awards. At the 2022 Juno Awards, Cardin received four awards: Artist of the Year, Single of the Year for "Meaningless", Pop Album of the Year, and Album of the Year. She also participated in a 2022 Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony performance with Pierre Lapointe, singing Daniel Lavoie's "Ils s'aiment".

Cardin released her second studio album, 99 Nights, on August 25, 2023, following the lead single "Confetti". The album was shortlisted for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize and won the 2024 Juno Awards for both Pop Album of the Year and Album of the Year. Following the album, she released two EPs: Une semaine à Paris, featuring artist Laylow on the track "Real Love", and A Week in Nashville. In February 2026, Cardin won Female Artist of the Year at the Victoires de la musique in France.

In her personal life, Cardin has been in a relationship with French-Canadian actor and singer-songwriter Aliocha Schneider since 2016. She contributed supporting vocals to his track "Avant elle", and the couple began performing a duet version of "Ensemble" in 2024. Her live performances feature band members Benjamin Courcy on drums and Mathieu Sénéchal on bass guitar.
