Cassian Bilton

Cassian Bilton is an actor from the United Kingdom who is widely recognized for his portrayal of Brother Dawn in the Apple TV+ science fiction television series Foundation.

While attending the University of Oxford, where he was affiliated with Regent's Park College, Bilton pursued studies in philosophy and theology. During his time at the university, he actively participated in numerous theatrical productions and served as the president of the Experimental Theatre Club. Prior to completing his degree in 2017, he performed as Oliver in a production of Shakespeare's As You Like It staged at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse located at Shakespeare's Globe.

Bilton began establishing his screen acting career through work in short films. In 2019, he appeared as Kornitzer in the short film The Devil's Harmony, a project that subsequently received the Short Film Jury Award for International Fiction at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.

He continued his film work with a role as Connor in the 2020 short film Shoal. This project gained significant industry recognition, earning a nomination for a BAFTA Student Film Award as well as a spot on the long-list for Best Short Film at the British Independent Film Awards.

Since 2021, Bilton has been a primary cast member of the Apple TV+ series Foundation, continuing his role as Brother Dawn. Expanding his feature film work, reports in November 2025 announced that he had been cast in Tom Ford's cinematic adaptation of the Anne Rice novel Cry to Heaven.
