Born at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, she grew up in the public eye due to her parents' fame and family background, which included numerous notable music and entertainment figures.
Brown began appearing alongside her mother from an early age, including an interview at eight months old and an appearance at the 1994 American Music Awards. Her spoken vocals were included on her mother's 1998 track "My Love Is Your Love," and she was featured on the 2003 song "The Little Drummer Boy" from One Wish: The Holiday Album. Following her parents' divorce in 2007, her mother was awarded custody.
Intending to pursue a career as a singer, actress, and dancer, Brown appeared as herself on various television shows and specials, including the reality series Being Bobby Brown. In 2012, she made her acting debut with a recurring role as Tina the receptionist in Tyler Perry's television series For Better or Worse. She also performed with her mother at concerts and sang a cover of "I'm Your Baby Tonight" on the show The Houstons: On Our Own.
Following Whitney Houston's death in February 2012, Brown became the sole beneficiary of her mother's estate. In July 2013, she announced her engagement to close family friend Nick Gordon; although they never legally married, the pair announced they had married in January 2014.
On January 31, 2015, Brown was found unconscious in a bathtub in her Alpharetta, Georgia, home. Placed in an induced coma due to significantly diminished brain function, she died in hospice care on July 26, 2015, at the age of 22. A finalized autopsy report determined that she died from lobar pneumonia stemming from immersion associated with drug intoxication. Her life was later portrayed in the 2017 television movie Bobbi Kristina and covered in the 2021 documentary Whitney Houston & Bobbi Kristina: Didn't We Almost Have It All.
